In his groundbreaking 1995 book Emotional Intelligence – Why it Can Matter More than IQ, Daniel Goleman wrote that there were no tests or assessments available to effectively measure Emotional Intelligence (EQ).  Since then, many tests have been developed to determine individual and organizational EQ.

After careful research, we found and are fully certified in the best EQ assessments the world has to offer.  They can be used in conjunction with a training program, or independently as a personal development tool.

Organizational Vital Signs (OVS) Survey

The Organizational Vital Signs (OVS) is 15-minute online survey for your employees. It rapidly provides a clear picture of the organizational climate. The survey is focused on the key attitudes, commitments, and skills required for making and sustaining change.

The OVS is:
–  Simple enough to be administered quickly and frequently.
–  Flexible enough to sample an entire organization, specific units or departments or a cross section of staff.
–  Clear enough to identify both strengths and trouble spots, allowing leaders and managers to take action where it is needed.

Effective uses for the OVS:
–  Random sampling of staff can provide you with an overall climate profile of your organization.
–  Sampling of units or departments can provide detailed information on what is affecting performance.
–  OVS data can be used to evaluate the performance of managers and leaders.
–  Pre/post surveys can measure training value.
–  Improving and positive results can be used in recruitment campaigns and general marketing of your organization.  (e.g., “96% of our staff say they can trust the manger they work for.  Can you say that about your manager?”)
–  Good news breeds more good news.  Letting stakeholders know that the climate of your organization is strong and positive invites additional commitment, loyalty and recognition.
–  It provides the mechanism and a response to staff who want to have input, be heard and be respected.
–  Data indicating that your organization has a vital and stable internal climate is good news for boards and investors.
