Even though damage to staff and productivity is clear, bullying still persists.
Workplace bullying can often be compared to school yard bullying. Both types
represent a grab for control and an exercise of power through the humiliation
of the target. Development of stronger emotional intelligence skills at all
levels is fundamental to a healthy workplace and will make bullying as
unthinkable as any other forms of workplace harassment. Increase the
bottom line, decrease stress and sick days and create a workplace that
engages employees by understanding how to use emotions effectively.
